British deep house producer, DJ and songwriter, Duke Dumont is heading to New Zealand for his first headline show. The concert will take place at the Auckland Town Hall on Friday September 22, with general sale tickets available on Monday April 24.
Duke Dumont is best known for his hit singles, “I Got U” and “Need U,” which both reached #1 on the official UK singles charts. Both songs also hit #1 on Billboard’s US Dance Club chart. Dumont has received critical acclaim for his work, with “Need U” garnering a grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording in 2015. Duke first began gaining recognition by remixing hit pop songs like “the Fear” by Lily Allen, “Daniel” by Bat for Lashes and “We Run This,” by Missy Elliott. Throughout his career he has released several EPs, including Regality, the Dominion Dubs EP and For Club Play Only, which was released in three parts. His most recent EP, Blasé Boys Club Pt1 was released in October 2015. The Blasé Bots Club was a huge success in New Zealand, reaching #1 in the All Airplay and the Pop Airplay Charts. It achieved platinum status and spent a total of 47 weeks in NZ’s top 100 All Airplay chart. There is no doubt there will be plenty of Kiwi fans eagerly waiting to snap up tickets to his Auckland show.
Duke has played some of the most popular festivals around the world, including the Ultra Music Festival, Coachella, the Reading Festival and New Zealand’s very own our:house festival.
