There’s a reason Coachella is one of the most famous music festivals in the world. From celebrity sightings to surprise musical guests and the debut of new songs, Coachella always seems to bring the unexpected. This year’s festival is no different, with some of the biggest names in music performing new songs for the first time. Last weekend, Lady Gaga debuted a new song called, “The Cure,” which shot to the top of the charts as soon as it became available to purchase. New Zealand’s most popular artist, Lorde also dropped a new song at Coachella. She thrilled fans by performing a song to be featured on her upcoming album, Malodrama, called, “Homemade Dynamite.” The song and performance received positive feedback from fans and critics alike.
The surprises continued during Coachella’s second weekend when EDM producer, Martin Garrix dropped a brand new collaboration with Australian singer, songwriter, Troye Sivan. Fans went wild as Troye unexpectedly appeared on stage to perform during Martin’s EDM set on Saturday. The song repeats the phrase, “I’ll be there for you,” which is likely the title of the track. The performance comes just a few weeks after Troye and Martin teased a possible collaboration. Troye posted an Instagram story of Martin working hard in the studio, which lead fans to speculate that the two were working together. Now that the collaboration is confirmed, all fans have to do is wait for the song to be released. In the meantime, you can watch their performance of the song at Coachella below:
